Hinged SIM connectors allow operators to insert the SIM card into a hinged cover, that cover holds the SIM card in place, the hinge is closed, then locked into place.
A plastic insert allows correct insertion of cards. This type is preferred for higher vibration environments, compared to Push-Pull or Push-Push types because of the positive lock characteristics.
